1. Visit the Pashupatinath temple in Kathmandu: Regarded as one of the oldest Hindu temples in Kathmandu, believed to be constructed as early as 400 CE, the Pashupatinath temple is considered one of Asia’s four most religious sites and is a must-visit! The temple is nestled between the banks of the sacred Bagmati River, on the eastern fringes, attracting thousands of devotees of Lord Shiva from different parts of the world to come and admire the Jyotirlinga housed here.

2. Enjoy a boat ride in Phewa Lake: Known for amazing water sports in Pokhara, the Phewa Lake is the second largest lake and one of the most visited in Nepal. The lake enjoys a mesmerizing reflection of mountain peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges on its surface, centrally located Tal Barahi Temple, Sarangkot for paragliding and Ratna Mandir, a former Nepalese royal palace. You can take a turn to the eastern banks of the lake, also known as Baidam or Lakeside and enjoy the best tourist places in Nepal with hotels, lodges, restaurants, book and souvenir shops.

3. Zipline in Pokhara: Located in one of the most beautiful places, the heart of the Himalayas, the Zipline in Nepal is the longest, tallest and steepest zipline in the world, enjoying exhilarating views of the Annapurna mountain range at a speed of over 85 miles an hour. Undertake a hike to the Peace Stupa in Pokhara: The iconic Peace Pagoda, also known as the Shanti Stupa, is a popular attraction and a striking landmark, perched on the Anadu Hill, featuring an aesthetic backdrop of the Annapurna mountain range while overlooking the Phewa Lake. In addition, there are many trekking trails that the visitors climb to explore the serene beauty of the Himalayas or drive by, capturing the mesmerizing views.

5. Do some river rafting in the Trishuli River: Enjoy the most enthralling river rafting, one of Nepal’s most popular outdoor activities. The Trishuli river runs parallel to the east-west Prithvi Highway between Kathmandu and Pokhara, offering ideal and exciting rapids, perfect for an adventurous time. The rafters can also sight native and migrant birds, beautiful rock formations and scenic views along the river. The stretch between Charaudi and Mugling has several riverside camps for the full experience!

6. Take an elephant safari in Chitwan National Park: Revel in the rich flora and fauna of the beautiful Chitwan National Park, placed on the foothills of the Himalayas in a river valley basin, which is also the last surviving example of the natural ecosystems of the Terai region. The park is characterized by lush vegetation, dense forests, steep hills and is home to one of the last remaining populations of the single-horned Asiatic rhinoceros and the Bengal tiger. You can also visit Bikram Baba at Kasara and Balmiki Ashram in Tribeni, the Hindu pilgrimage sites.
